About Þorrablót

Þorrablót is an Icelandic midwinter festival rooted in Norse pagan tradition. Historically, it marked survival through the harshest part of winter with traditional foods and communal feasting. Today, it’s a celebration of heritage, resilience, and togetherness.

Tickets

Children under 10 are free so long as their grown up is with them.

Paypal does allow for credit-card purchases without logging in.

Other ways to buy tickets

We understand that PayPal isn’t for everyone! If you’d prefer to purchase your tickets through Venmo, simply scan the Venmo QR code and email Soley directly with your details. We’re working on a new payment and ticketing system to make things easier, but as an all-volunteer team, it’s not quite ready yet. Thank you for your patience and support!

Be Ready for the Raffle

We’ll have a silent raffle benefiting our general, scholarship, and solidarity funds. A portion of the proceeds will go directly toward supporting Icelandic language education. Your participation makes a difference!

That one simple trick…

Did you notice the price difference between member and non-member tickets? An individual yearly membership is just $10, and $20 for families. Becoming a member means you’re part of all the great things we do each year—like the Icelandic Open, June 17th celebrations, language practice groups, and (hint, hint) discounted Þorrablót tickets. Join us today!
