About
TGCI Open is a 9 hole tournament played in teams of two players. The format is Texas Scramble where each player hits a drive and the team picks the one they want to use. Both players hit their next shot from that location and then pick the better of the two shots and so on until the ball is holed. To speed up the game and finish in about 2.5 hours, teams who reach a double par can pick up the ball. This format is great fun and so is the socializing at the awards ceremony after the round where we’ll enjoy food and drinks. There’s a great sushi place on the golf course if anyone wants to make a night of it.
